Well, you will be happy to know that you aren't alone in that thinking process and Disney has you covered with a Starbucks location in each of its four theme parks. If you've been to Walt Disney World® Resort in the past and don't recall seeing one in the parks, it may be because in true Disney style they don't have large "Starbucks HERE" sign hanging out in front of the building and want to keep the overall theme of each theme park consistent with their branding as much as possible. But they are there and I'm going to let you in on a few "Tips" that may bring a smile to your face the next time you hear your kids, spouse or friends say..."I want to go back to Disney again!," because, let's be real...you know it's gonna happen! Haha
Before I get started with all the details about where you can find each Starbucks location, let me answer one of the MOST popular questions I get asked by people, "Can I use my dining plan credits at Starbucks while I'm there?," and the answer is YES! You can can use your Snack credits for....you may want to sit down for this one....ANY size specialty beverage you would like, including that extra shot of espresso or special flavoring you may find that you need at the time. See! I told you this would make you smile, didn't I? Now, let's move on to the nitty gritty.
At Magic Kingdom, you will see the Main Street Bakery, located on the right-hand side of Main Street U.S.A as you are walking towards Cinderella's castle. At Hollywood Studios, you will find Starbucks located at the Trolly Car Cafe, located on the right-hand side of the corner of Hollywood and Sunset Blvd. At Epcot, you find the Starbucks in the Fountain View, which is located to the right of the main fountain after you walk past Spaceship Earth. And at Animal Kingdom you will find Starbucks located inside Creature Comforts, which is located on the left-hand side just before you cross the bridge into the Africa section of the park.
Disney Springs is the only area that has two locations. The smaller location is located near the World of Disney store in Marketplace and the larger store is located on the West Side by the water near AMC Disney Springs 24.
Fun Tips:
- At the larger store on the West Side, there is a screen where you can see the Disneyland Starbucks location and the people in that location can see you at Walt Disney World® Resort.
- At the smaller location in Merchants Square, you can order delivery to wherever you are in Disney Springs. Just download the official Starbucks app, make sure your credit card information is linked, touch the "Order" tab, select the Marketplace location, and then make your selections. Call the location at (407) 279-2794 to let them know where you are located in Disney Springs and they will bring it to you. This service is available between the hours of 8:00 am - 10:00 pm.
Now that you know "where" to find your Starbucks fix let's talk about some fun tips that you may or may not already know.
Almost everything on the Starbucks menu is considered to a "snack" meaning you can use the snack credits on your dining plan to pay for either a beverage or food item. The menu is a combination of both Starbucks and Disney items, like specialty cupcakes and Mickey shaped items.
If you are not using a Disney Dining Plan during your trip not to worry, you have options for paying fo your purchase. The Starbucks locations at Walt Disney World® Resort accept Starbucks Gift Cards or Disney Gift Cards, but you can only use your Starbucks Reward Points at the (2) Disney Springs locations. If you have the Starbucks app, you can use it for payment at all locations around Walt Disney World® Resort, and you can earn Stars (no Bonus Stars though, sorry). If you have earned enough stars for free drinks, you can only redeem those at the Disney Springs locations, not in the park.
Did you know that you can order your Starbucks BEFORE the park opens? Yes, you can but only at the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios locations. Both of these parks allow guests to enter a certain area of the park before it officially opens, which just has a Starbucks within the area that is open for part guests. The lines can be long first thing in the morning, but they tend to move.
If you would like to collect coffee cups as a souvenir of where you have traveled, you can do so at each of these locations as well. You will find the popular "You Are Here" mugs that feature each park and new ceramic ornament exclusively available at Walt Disney World® Resort.
So there you have it! You are now armed with all the important information to fulfill your Starbucks needs the next time you find yourself at Walt Disney World® Resort feeling a little like Minnie.
