Have you always wanted to learn how to surf? At Typhoon Lagoon, guests 8yrs and up can learn how to surf in the gigantic wave pool. No matter if you are an excited beginner wanting to learn the basics or a more experienced surfer wanting to amp up your skills like a pro, you will be sure to get the assistance needed by the professional surf instructors. Experienced riders can hang ten in the largest outdoor wave pool before the park opens or after it closes. This is your chance to spend some time on the water without the crowds...just you, your instructor and the water.
Each session has up to 100 waves broken into sets of 25, so there's LOTS of opportunity to show your new skills! Lessons are offered on Monday, Tuesday and Friday, early in the morning before the park opens or after the park closes and has a maximum of 25 surfers per session. Times may vary by season and are subject to change. Each lesson lasts 2.5hrs and includes:
*2 professional instructors
*Soft-sided surfboard for use during the lesson
*Instruction on land first
*Opportunity to ride waves up to 6ft tall
Price: $165 per person
*Reservations in advance are required. Please let your Disney travel specialist know if you would like to try your hand at learning to surf. This can
be added onto your Disney vacation package.
**Water park general admission ticket is "not" required in addition to the cost
per person for your lesson. However, if you do not have an admission ticket you will be escorted to the exit after your lesson is over.
