You have already heard that Disney has officially announced that one of the favorite nighttime attractions at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom will be bidding a shimmering farewell ride down Main Street USA on October 9, 2016. If you have not ever not seen this parade, or if it's one of your favorite, you will may want to plan a quick trip to see it one last time before it's gone.
The Main Street Electrical Parade made it's debut at Walt Disney World® Resort in 1977, before returning back to Disneyland® Park in Anaheim, California where it stayed until 2010 and has been one of the most beloved entertainment spectacles anywhere. Watching this parade has become a rite of passage for many Disney fans with parent and grandparents wanting to watch it with their children over the years.
This parade will now be traveling cross-country to Disneyland® Park in Anaheim, California, where it originally premiered in 1972, for a limited time encore engagement early next year (2017).
In addition to this news, the Paint the Night Parade will also be ending its run at Disneyland® Park. What does this mean for Walt Disney World® Resort guests? Will the Paint the Night Parade be traveling cross-country to amaze Walt Disney World® Resort guests with it's awesomeness? We can only hope that is the plan to be put into motion.
