Tickets for both Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party are now on sale for 2015! This is considered to be a "special event" and does require a special hard ticket to enter the party in Magic Kingdom. There are two options to purchase the special party ticket, either in advance (which your Disney travel planner can handle for you) or at the guest services window at Magic Kingdom for a slightly higher cost per ticket. Popular dates, like October 31st, do tend to sell out so I definitely recommend buying tickets for this event in advance to avoid being turned away on the day of due to it being sold out. The only exception to this would be for military members and their families because they are required to purchase these tickets for certain dates directly guest services at Magic Kingdom.
If you plan to spend the day at Magic Kingdom, you will need a park ticket in addition to your party ticket to enter the park. Both special ticketed events begin at 7:00pm, but you are allowed to enter the park as early as 4:00pm with just your party ticket. If you prefer to not spend the whole day in Magic Kingdom, this is a great way to save a few dollars (since the party ticket does not cost as much as a normal one day park ticket) and you still get to take advantage of all the attractions as well as the specially themed parades, shows and fireworks! Those that do not have a ticket for the party will be directed to exit the park promptly by 7:00pm. This typically reduces the crowds and also shortens the lines for attractions making it a great opportunity to do something you may not have had a FastPass+ for or that you would just like to ride again.

Mickey's Not-S0-Scary Halloween Party
People of all ages are encouraged to grab your favorite costume and join in the Halloween fun! There are be trick-or-treat trails located around the park, and cast members have treat bags free to anyone that needs one. The festivities will begin with Mickey's "Boo to You" Halloween party that is led by the ride of the Headless Horseman followed by your favorite Disney characters, your favorite characters from the Haunted Mansion attraction and other villains all in their Halloween costumes. With the use of special lighting, music and themed decorations parts of the Magic Kingdom are transformed into a "Not So Scary" happy haunting full of fun for children and adults alike. The evening is culminated by the a special Hallo-Wishes fireworks show.
