As Disney continues to open new attractions and shows in their various theme parks, these new policies will help to ensure a smooth flow of guests through security check points getting into the parks, as well as an easier flow of people as you navigate your way through the theme parks.
Strollers:
Beginning May 1st, Disney is adjusting their guidelines on stroller sizes, which will now require all strollers to be no larger than 31" wide and 52" long or smaller. The good news is that many of the strollers on the market, including many of the double jogging strollers, fit within the new sizing guidelines.
Please remember that wagons are not permitted in Disney's theme parks, and beginning May 1st, stroller wagons will also no longer be permitted.
Tip: The smaller your stroller, the easier it is to navigate and maneuver your way through the parks. At Walt Disney World® Resort, you can always rent a single or double stroller at the rental counter located just inside the park entrance in all four theme parks.
Smoking:
Also beginning on May 1st, there will no longer be any smoking areas located inside Disneyland or Walt Disney World® Resort theme parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex or Downtown Disney District in California.
There will be designated smoking areas located outside the main entrance to the theme parks and in Disney Springs in Florida.
Loose Ice:
Starting now, if you plan to bring a cooler or cooler bag to store snacks and drinks for your day at the theme park(s) or water park adventures, it's important to know that loose ice or dry ice are no longer permitted. Instead, Disney recommends that you use re-usable ice packs instead. You can always get a free cup of ice at any of the counter service locations within the parks.
Tip: If you are staying at one of Disney's resort hotels, you will not have access to a freezer to refreeze your re-usable ice pack, so I would suggest bringing along several sandwich sized or quart sized Zip-lock bags to seal ice inside of and lay them around your cooler or cooler bag to keep your things cold.
Good luck on your next Magical adventure!
